Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to every order placed with Family Ink LLC ("Family Ink," "we," "us"), a custom apparel and print shop based in Meridian, Idaho, through familyinktshirts.com, by email, or in person. By placing an order you agree to these Terms. Questions? Email gary@familyinktshirts.com.

1. What we make

Family Ink produces custom apparel (DTF and screen printing), DTF heat transfers and gang sheets, custom hats (including laser-etched and full-color leather patches), promotional products, and laser engraving and cutting. Most items are made to order.

2. Orders and payment

- Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change without notice. The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order or the one on your approved quote.
- Payment is due in full when you order, unless we agree in writing to other terms (for example, a deposit on a group order).
- We may decline or cancel any order, for example because of a pricing error, missing information, or artwork we can't produce. If we cancel, we refund any amount you paid.
- Product colors on screen may differ slightly from the finished item.

3. Custom orders

- Proof approval. For custom work we send a digital proof. Production starts only after you approve it. Please check spelling, names, numbers, sizes, colors, placement and quantities carefully.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for the spelling, wording and artwork you approve. We aren't responsible for errors that appear on an approved proof or in print-ready art you send us.
- Production time. Custom and personalized items usually ship within 5–7 business days after proof approval; group and event orders usually take 7–10 business days after proof approval and payment. These are estimates, not guarantees. See our Shipping Policy for details.
- Rush orders. Rush production, when available, costs an additional 25% of the order price. Ask before ordering if you have a deadline.
- No cancellations or refunds once production starts. Once production of custom work has started, the order can't be cancelled, changed or refunded.
- Customer-supplied items and art. Results depend on the quality of the artwork and materials you provide. We may ask for higher-resolution files before printing.

4. Shipping and delivery

We ship within the United States with USPS and/or UPS. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout, and we email tracking when your order ships. Free local pickup is available in Meridian, Idaho. Delivery dates from carriers are estimates. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers the package or when you pick up your order. Please see our Shipping Policy for processing times, lost or damaged packages and address changes.

5. Returns and exchanges (non-custom items)

Our Refund Policy applies to all orders. In short:
- All sales are final. We don't accept returns or exchanges for size, fit, color or change of mind, including on stock (non-custom) items and sale items. Custom and personalized work is never returnable.
- Misprints and defects. If your order has a clear production error (misprint, defect or wrong item), email gary@familyinktshirts.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photos. We'll review it and, at our option, reprint the item or issue a refund. Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the item was defective or misprinted.
- Refunds. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days to your original payment method.
If these Terms and the Refund Policy ever differ on returns, the Refund Policy controls.

6. Intellectual property

- Your designs. By submitting artwork, logos, photos, text or other content, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, publicity or other rights. You agree to cover any claims, costs or damages that arise from content you submit.
- Our right to refuse. We may refuse or cancel any order that we believe infringes someone else's rights or is unlawful, offensive or otherwise inappropriate.
- Our materials. The Family Ink name and logo, our website content, and the designs, proofs and artwork we create are owned by Family Ink LLC. You may not copy or use them without our written permission. Artwork we create for your order is licensed to you for that order.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Family Ink's total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including missed event dates or lost profits, or for delays caused by carriers, suppliers or events outside our control. Products are provided as described, without other warranties except those required by law.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ada County, Idaho.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on our site when you place your order applies to that order.
